Columbia is pleased to offer the following electric venting options, perfect for skylights set in high ceilings or hard to reach areas:
VE Deluxe
- Designed by Truth Hardware, the VE Deluxe kit includes a slimline remote, skylight motor, rain sensor and decorative cover.
- The VE slimline remote allows you to control up to four skylights with the same wireless remote.
- Controlling multiple skylights with one remote requires only one VE Deluxe kit. Each additional skylight requires the more economical VE Standard kit.
- VE Deluxe kit includes a rain sensor that automatically closes your skylight during inclement weather.
VE Standard
- Designed by Truth Hardware, the VE Standard kit includes a skylight motor, decorative cover and wall switch designed for a standard single gang electrical box.
- The VE Standard kit will sequentially control up to four skylights utilizing the same wall switch. It is the most cost effective way to motorize a skylight.
Design Features:
- Columbia motorized skylights feature low profile design, decorative cover and quiet running motor.
- Automatic motor reversal is engineered into the system. It is intended to reverse the motor should an obstruction stop the skylight while closing.
- VE Electric motor kits are simple to install and operate from a 110 volt household current, with no transformer required.
- VE Electric motors are UL listed and CSA approved.
Removable insect screen
- Pre installed with white aluminum frame to match vinyl base and light shaft.
- Spring loaded pins allow for easy removal and installation.

Large capacity four sided condensation channel
- Weep holes allow any condensation build up to drain to the outside roof
- Allows for multi directional installation of skylight. Direction must be specified when ordering.
- Eliminates water stains on your interior light shaft

Columbias premium residential venting curb mounted skylight comes in two model options VE Deluxe and VE Standard .
This model consists of a durable, weather resistant, extruded aluminum retaining frame and an extruded thermally broken aluminum heliarc welded base frame. The aluminum base frame is thermally broken, preventing the passage of cold air from the exterior to the interior light shaft. This model is typically used for larger skylights that require additional strength and rigidity.
